Background:
The Fund Raising Forum is a sub group of the Parents Council, the aim of this group is to fund raise for the school.
The Fund Raising Forum is currently made up of Parent Council members who have expressed a desire to work in this sub group and concentrate on organising and running exciting and varied events for children of all ages at Braidwood Primary School .
All money raised from fund raising activities goes directly to the school and pays for additional resources that the children would not ordinarily have access to both use and enjoy.
We are always looking for new members with new fresh fund raising ideas, so please come along to any of our meetings and lend your support. The dates of the meetings are communicated via the school newsletters.

Events
Halloween Disco - The first event of the fund raising year will be a Disco in the school on Wednesday 29th October.
P1-P3 - 6:00-7:15pm, P4-P7 - 7:30-09:00pm.
Bags2School - A Bags2school fund raiser will be held during November. This allows parents/carers to have a clear out of unwanted clothes, bags, shoes etc. ahead of Christmas. These items are then taken into the school where they are collected and weighed by the Bags2School Company. The weight is converted into money and this is sent to the school.
Shopping Bags - environmentally friendly shoppers designed by and staring your own children will be on sale during the last few months of 08. These will also be on sale at the Xmas Fayre. Do your bit to save the environment and make a fashion statement at the same time. Ideal personalised Xmas gifts for all your family.
The annual Xmas Fayre will be held in the school on 5th December. This is a fantastic event with a real family atmosphere. The wide variety of stalls keeps all the children busy and Santa even calls in to say "hi".
Braidwood School Ceilidh 09 - Back by popular demand in 09 will be the school Ceilidh. It will take place on Friday 20th February in the Masonic Hall Carluke. Places will be limited so book fast when you get the letter!
Bag Packing -
A bag packing event will run in March 09. Pupils from P4-P7 can come along in Uniform with their parent/carer to support this fund raising event.
May Fayre – A Fayre will be held in the school during May. Full details will be issued nearer the time.
Short and Shades Summer Disco - A new event for summer 09 will be a short and shades disco. This will be held in June and allow the term to end on a high for all children.
- Full details on all the 08/09 events will be issued from the school ahead of each event.

That's all you need to do - apart from remembering to return to the easyfundraising site and login next time you are going to shop online!!
Providing you login and use the retailer links provided easyfundraising will track all your transactions and pay the school the appropriate donations. These will then be displayed in your easyfundraising account (which you can access online).

Search the Web and Raise Funds
You can also raise funds when you search the web - with easysearch, a search engine with a difference!
When you search the web with easysearch, you’ll raise around 1p for us with every search you make! Just like easyfundraising it is completely free to use and if you make just 10 searches a day, you could raise £25 a year - or more - for us, just by switching to easysearch.
What do I do?
1. Click the link http://braidwoodps.easysearch.org.uk.
2. Select 'Set as my Home Page' from the menu on the left to use easysearch to search the web from your Home page.
3. You could also click 'easysearch from my Browser' this will add a small search box to the top right of your browser page. Use it for quick searching. (If you have more than one search added to your browser you may have to use the drop-down to select easysearch.)
